A bit of foresight can make a huge difference to how you enjoy your committee experience. This workshop is for people who would like to better understand the dynamics of committees and how to work within various committee cultures. Our local facilitators will draw on their extensive experience to provide insight and practical advice to help you understand, adapt and flourish in your role.

Today’s online world has evolved to include much more than a website and the speed of change can be hard to keep up with. But if businesses are not online they could be missing out on customers.

Blogs, social media and online advertising should all to promote and direct people back to the business website. This approach can bring digital thinking into all aspects of a business.

Participants will learn how to build their understanding of online advertising, search engines, websites and social media through practical exercises and real-life examples. Led by a workshop leader experienced in digital business, participants will make informed decisions about the right tools for their business and learn how to bring them all together into an effective online strategy.

Knox Schools Expo

This workshop is a great way for participants to meet other small business operators in their area, grow their confidence, and put their new skills into practice in a relaxed and comfortable environment.

Knox City Council has seven funding programs which may be able to assist your organisation. The workshop starts with Council staff presenting the aims, guidelines and criteria of the funding programs, followed by an in-depth look at the Community Development Fund grants. This is an opportunity to have Council staff and other community organisations share their knowledge and ideas to strengthen your project application.

Applications for the Community Development Fund open in May 2017.

Immunisations: St Jude's Community Centre

Council's Health Services holds immunisation sessions at St Jude's Community Centre in Scoresby on the 4th Tuesday of the month (except public holidays).

No appointments necessary. Please bring your Medicare card and your child’s Health Record book to the session.
