Small Business Victoria logo
Government procurement in Australia is worth billions of dollars and is one of the largest commercial areas for Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) businesses. Winning government business is possible; however businesses do need to understand the process and how to engage with government to maximise their chance of success.

This workshop will unravel the complexities of the purchasing process and explain terminology, highlight the differences between each level of government, and show participants how proposals are evaluated so they can gear for success. Supported by useful resources and high-quality templates, businesses will be equipped with hints and tips straight from those in the sector to make their proposal stand-out.

Know your role

For many organisations the role of the committee members is implicitly understood rather than being clearly documented and explained. For others the roles have morphed over the years and are no longer defined. We will cover what positions must legally exist on a committee and provide a clear understanding of what each position is responsible for. Easy to follow templates for position descriptions will also be provided.

When: Wednesday 24 May 7pm to 9:30pm
RSVP by: Monday 22 May
Cost: Free
