Designing Multi Unit Developments  Printer Friendly

For most properties it will not be possible to obtain a planning permit for a Multi Unit Development using a standard house design or project home.

A design specific to the site is required in order to properly address the requirements of local planning policy, zone requirements, Clause 55 (ResCode) as well as the constraints of the site (slope, trees, location of neighbouring properties, orientation, drainage etc.)

A general list of design requirements is shown below:

 Driveway
 Street Setbacks
 Carparking
 Private Open Space
 Double Storey Buildings
 Vegetation Protection
 Impact On Neighbours
 Easements
 Drainage Services
 Restrictive Covenants
 Sustainability
 Waste Policies
