Residents of Knox are welcome to provide comment to Council on a recent revision being proposed to Local Laws.
| | | |
| Your opportunity for feedback on Council's Local Law | | In simple terms, Local Laws are made by Council to provide safe, fair use and enjoyment of public places throughout the City of Knox. That includes, for example, roads, reserves, carparks and footpaths. The Local Law also deals with the fair, reasonable use and enjoyment of private land.
Council has recently revised the 'General Provisions' of its Local Law, with a number of items having potential for impact on residents and Knox businesses. As such, we'd like your thoughts and feedback during an extended public consultation period, with submissions closing on 26 February 2010. | |
| The detail | | This Local Law will repeal Council's General Provisions Local Law Number 1 2004 and General Works Local Law 2001. A copy of the proposed Local Law and associated documents can be accessed on the links below. Alternatively, copies are available from the Council Office, 511 Burwood Highway, Wantirna South.
Any person may make a submission relating to the proposed Local Law. Submissions are to be received by Council no later than 5pm on Friday 26 February 2010 and will be considered in accordance with Section 223 of the Local Government Act. Any person requesting to be heard in support of a written submission must indicate a desire to do so in his/her submission.
