How the stars shone at Knox Carols…Knox Carols by Candlelight

It was a perfect start to the Christmas season and more than 17,000 people were there to see it unfold. New Knox Mayor, Cr Sue McMillan, said Knox Carols by Candlelight 2010 — Saturday 4 December — was a great success, with people of all ages enjoying the Carols, children’s entertainment, and high quality singers.

“It was a great evening for the people of Knox and the many visitors who made it to this very special event,” Cr McMillan said. “Singer, Kate Ceberano had the crowd entertained and enchanted with her renditions of a few Christmas favourites. Other carollers and children’s performers also shone, as they got the audience up on their feet, waving candles and singing proudly. The fireworks display was a dazzling end to another fantastic event.”

Cr McMillan said she was delighted to have been able to attend her first Carols event as Mayor.

“Christmas is such a special time and a community celebration like this one is a fantastic way to go into the season. This event really demonstrates the depth of community spirit in Knox, and it was great to be a part of.”
