In partnership with the community and government, Knox Council's Healthy Ageing Unit is striving to bring about a change in community attitudes towards ageing, promote the healthy ageing message across the community and respond to the needs of older residents.

Services available under the Healthy Ageing banner include Knox City Council's Home and Community Care program, Meals on Wheels (Food Services), Community Transport and Amaroo Gardens, Knox City Council's own low care residential aged care facility.
