| Local Laws After Hours Emergencies | | A Local Laws Officer is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergency situations only.
Contact the Council Office on 9298 8000 to report one of the following;
- Contained dog pickups
- Injured animals
- Livestock wandering on the road, and
- Dog attacks
All other calls should be directed to Customer Service the next business day.
If you have found a dog or cat that is wearing a Knox registration tag, please ensure that you record the number displayed and let the pager service know the number. An officer will try to locate the owner for you to contact.
If you've lost a dog or a cat, go to Council's Facebook page dedicated to reuniting owners with their pets at Lost Animals in Knox and add some details. If we find your pet, or locate the owner of one you've found, we'll let you know as soon as possible.
If you live in a council other than Knox and the owner cannot be located, please contact your local council to arrange collection of the dog. Knox Local Laws Officers can only collect animals in Knox, and have no jurisdiction to operate in other council areas.
