Council meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. Meetings are open to the public and are held at the Knox Civic Centre located at 511 Burwood Highway, Wantirna South.

| Ordinary Council Meetings | | Ordinary Council Meetings are held 12 times each year on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
The Council Meeting procedure includes public question time as a standard item on the Agenda in order to facilitate community participation in the meeting. | Strategic Planning Committee Meetings | | The Strategic Planning Committee is a Special Committee which comprises solely of Councillors. The Committee meets 11 times each year on the second Tuesday of each month. The Strategic Planning Committee has delegated authority from Council to consider a range of issues that are generally strategic in nature. | |
| Special Meetings of Council | | Council may from time to time call a Special Meeting of the Council to consider matters such as the proposed Budget and Election of Mayor. | |
