About our Site

The following details some of the other features about our site:

We have designed this site to be simple and easy to use with our most popular information available from our home page. Our major services are grouped in to themes including:

  • Your Council for Online Services; Contact Details; Plans, Strategies and Reports; Mayor and Councillor details; Council Meetings and Media Releases.
  • Your City is about Knox's history and future planning strategies; businesses; transport; roads; local laws; and our community groups.
  • Your Property covers your home and garden; planning and building; pets; waste and recycling.
  • Your Family is everything about your family from newborn babies; immunisation and health services; to young people and seniors.
  • Things To Do is where to find our Calendar of Events; art activities; sporting clubs and grounds; or details about our major festivals and events.
  • Jobs & Tenders lists our latest job opportunities and tenders available.
  • Emergencies offers information about any current emergencies; how to keep in touch with Council; and how to plan for and react to an emergency.

Searching our site

At the top right corner of each page is a text search box which is powered by Google. Simply type your search term and press the Enter key to view results directly from Google. Please note, Council does not endorse any advertising appearing on the search results page.

Alternatively, you can view our A-Z Index (or sitemap) that displays a list of all pages on our website, sorted by page title.

Printer Friendly pages

If you need to print a web page, you can view a "Printer Friendly" version of a page by clicking the printer icon near the top right corner of each page. This printer friendly view removes unnecessary page navigation and some images to provide an easier to read document and reduce printing costs.

We have attempted to keep PDF downloads to a minimum, however there are certain instances where PDF's are necessary. Most modern web browsers can view PDFs or you can visit Adobe's website to download Adobe Reader.

If you require a document in an alternative format, such as Word, Rich Text Format (RTF) or something else, please contact us for more information.

Please note that most PDFs are produced by Council, however some may be supplied to us from third parties and may not be readily available in alternative formats.
