Knox City Council's Health Services Unit provides an immunisation service to all pre-school and school aged children together with a service to adults based on the National Recommended Immunisation Schedule. Please select the appropriate links below for more information.

Knox City Council is moving to an online booking system for all immunisations (including flu) starting in 2018.

Overseas immunisation records or catch-up schedules

If you have recently moved to Australia or your child have fallen behind on their vaccinations, we can reconcile your child’s immunisation history to ensure they are up to date and comply with the Australian National Immunisation Program. We will also report the overseas immunisation history onto the Australian Immunisation Register.

If your child/children requires a catch-up schedule recommended by our immunisation team, please contact us on health.services@knox.vic.gov.au with the below information prior to attending our public immunisation session.

Child's full name
Child's date of birth
Medicare number (if available)
Copy of all immunisation history, such as child immunisation book or vaccination record from GP - If the records are not in English, these must be translated.

Calculating a catch-up schedule may take up to two weeks. We are unable to carry out any catch-up vaccinations at busy public immunisation sessions without prior contact with our team.

New legislations affecting immunisations

No Jab No Play

From 1 January 2016, all parents/guardians seeking to enrol their child at an early childhood service in Victoria will be required to provide evidence that the child is:

fully immunised for their age OR
on a vaccination catch-up program OR
unable to be fully immunised for medical reasons.

No Jab No Pay

From 1 January 2016, child care assistance and the Family Tax Benefit Part A supplement will not be paid to families who fail to comply with immunisation requirements, or who do not have a valid exemption.
