Computer training course


Knox City Council host a variety of different workshops and training throughout the year. The following gives a guide to what is available to the Knox community.

Community Group Training Program

The Knox City Council Community Group Training Program is a series of workshops presented over the year that are designed to benefit volunteer and not-for-profit community groups and clubs who provide services or programs in Knox.

If you are a volunteer or work for a not-for-profit community group such as a local club or committee this program will be suitable for you.

Youth Services

Knox City Council’s Youth Services Team provides a range of programs, services, and training for young people, as well as families, parents, carers, schools, agencies and others that are advocating for Young People.

Businesses and Economic Development

Knox City Council’s Economic Development program provides services to start and grow business and the economy in Knox.

Senior Citizen’s Groups

Knox City Council’s Active Communities Team will be delivering a number of free sessions for the benefit of community groups who actively support Seniors to continue to contribute and participate in the Knox Community.

Sporting and Leisure Clubs

Knox City Council’s Leisure Services Team has organised a number of free training sessions for sport and leisure groups in 2017.

Early Years Services Groups

Knox City Council’s Family and Children’s Services Team provide training to our Early Years Volunteer Committee members including Preschool, Playgroups, Childcare and Specialist Support.

People with Disabilities

Knox City Council’s Access and Equity Team support access and inclusion for people with a disability and carers through project development, project sharing, network facilitation and partnerships. Community information sessions and workshops are held periodically.

'Learn Local' Short Courses

'Learn Local' Short Courses

Knox has a number of local community and neighbourhood houses that offer a great range of affordable programs for people of all ages.

The programs offered can range from art and crafts, health, fitness and personal development to computer skills and vocational training. There are day, evening and weekend sessions available.
