Seeking Community and Professional/Industry Representatives for the Knox Community Safety Advisory Committee

Nominations are now open for four community members and four professional/industry representatives who are passionate about creating safer communities.

Community Safety in Knox – working together to feel safe & live safe

You have a right to feel safe in Knox. It's a great part of Melbourne to live, work and recreate. Communities which are perceived as safe encourages active participation such as physical activity, developing relationships with neighbours and supports the health and well-being of everyone.

A safe community can only be achieved through the support of partnerships within local communities, with businesses, residents, community groups, schools, Police and Council who together identify local solutions to local issues.

Knox Community Safety Plan 2013-2017

The objective of the Knox Community Safety Plan 2013-2017 is to guide actions undertaken by Council, key partners, the community and organisations to address issues of real and perceived community safety through sustainable crime prevention programs. Identified community safety priorities will be delivered using an evidence-based partnership approach.
