Electronic Scoreboard Grants

To ensure a consistent approach is taken to manage any club managed electronic scoreboard project which alters the existing state of a Council facility, Council's Electronic Scoreboard Grants program provides grants up to $40,000 for successful tenant clubs (applicants) to deliver an electronic scoreboard of their choice. Should the value of the project exceed $40,000, the tenant clubs will need to fund any overspend. This may be combined with grant funding external to Council.

Knox City Council and tenant sporting clubs have invested significant financial and human resources into the development of sporting reserve facilities within Knox and it is essential that these assets are kept to the highest possible standard. In addition to this, Council needs to ensure the relevant safety standards are adhered to when clubs appoint contractors to undertake works.

For an application to be assessed, all supporting information must be provided. This includes, but isn’t limited to designs, site maps, cost estimates etc. Council accepts no responsibility for incomplete applications.

For Council to further consider your club’s request for an electronic scoreboard, please complete the attached application form and return to Council for approval.

If a club is seeking funding for a proposed project, the Capital Works Guidelines & Application Form must instead be completed. This can be obtained by contacting Council’s Leisure Services Unit on 9298 8000.
