Children's Book Week

Children's Book Week in Knox

Find out how you can get your children involved in Children’s Book Week, with a range of events and activities throughout Knox libraries.

Every year, schools and public libraries right across Australia spend a week celebrating books, Australian authors and illustrators for Children’s Book Week. Teachers and librarians conduct activities relating to a theme to highlight the importance of reading and encouraging children to love books.

Each library in Knox holds weekly Storytime sessions for Tiny Tots (0-12 months), Toddlers (1-3 years), Pre-schoolers (3-6 years) and Families (1-6 years) during school terms.

Storytime helps your child develop early literacy skills and a lifelong love of books. A simple colouring activity or play with puzzles is held after each session. Visit to find Storytime sessions at your nearest Knox library.
