Milestone: Butterfly Oasis
Encourage butterflies to flutter into your playground, land on flat colourful flowers to feed on nectar, pollinate native plants and sun themselves in a safe, protected space. Click on hyperlink above for more detailed information on this Milestone.
 
Milestone: Lizard Lounge
Encourage local lizards to sun themselves in your playground by providing warm, sheltered areas for these solar powered creatures. Click on hyperlink above for more detailed information on this Milestone.
 
Milestone: Minibeast Mulch
Encourage a multitude of insects to live amongst the leaf litter to provide an integral element in the food cycle of other local wildlife you may want to attract to your playground. Click on hyperlink above for more detailed information on this Milestone.
 
Milestone: Tall Trees
By retaining and maintaining some tall, mature trees native to your playground site, your will potentially supply a ‘fauna food and shelter stopover’ by providing insects, nectar, pollen, seed, nest sites, night roosts and eventually hollows, for a diverse range of local fauna, eg: tawny frogmouth, sugar gliders. Milestone: Frog Haven
Encourage frogs to leap safely into your playground and so assist in their long term survival as threatened species. Click on hyperlink above for more detailed information on this Milestone.
 
Milestone: Small Bird Hideout
Encourage small birds, such as blue wrens and eastern spinebills local to our area, to feed, nest and dart around in your playground. Click on hyperlink above for more detailed information on this Milestone.
