There are over 300 minor parks, reserves and playing fields spread throughout the City of Knox that cater for all forms of leisure and recreational activities. You will find some of the major recreational parks in Knox by clicking on the Listing of Parks throughout Knox link below.

| Benedikt Reserve, Scoresby - Community Consultation | | We are currently developing a Landscape Master Plan for Benedikt Reserve (Melways Ref Map 72/J5&6) in Scoresby (near Stud/Ferntree Gully Road intersection) and we would love to hear your thoughts about the Reserve.
Council will be carrying out Community Consultation at the Reserve on Sunday 5th May from 9-11am with a free sausage sizzle and an opportunity to have a chat to us. We look forward to seeing you there or alternatively please take a few minutes to complete our short survey via the link listed below.

| Access to Council Owned or Managed Land | | In order to ensure that Council maintains a safe and effective infrastructure, the City of Knox requires that all work within Council Owned or Managed Land be done within Council guidelines and specifications.
Enquiries regarding requests to conduct works within Council Owned or Managed Land within the Municipality can be made in several ways:

| The consent process for working in Council Owned or Managed Land consists of the following steps:
Step 1: Customer completes Council Reserve Access Permit form - Notification of proposed works - and submits it to Council.
Step 2: An Asset Protection officer will inspect the site to consider the request.
Step 3: If denied a Council Reserve Access permit, the Applicant will be notified in wiriting and given the reasons why. If approved, a Council Reserve Access Permit form is lodged along with the fee and payment of a bond. The cost of this permit is $141.00 with a bond of $1,127.00 (from 1 July 2012) and is valid for 2 months.
Step 4: When works are completed Council inspects the site and the applicant is notified in writing of the outcome. If the works are complete as per the permit the bond is then released back to the applicant.
