Over the past 100 years water consumption per person in Melbourne has almost doubled and intensive development has degraded the quality of our waterways and the ecosystems they support. Strategies to conserve water and improve the quality of waterways are vital.

Stage 3a Water Restrictions Now Operating - SOUTH EAST WATER
South East Water is a State-owned company, responsible for providing water and sewerage services to 1.3 million people in the south-east region of Melbourne.

The Melbourne region is currently under Stage 3a Water Restrictions. Please refer to the South East Water website for details of the current restrictions.
