| Arterial Roads | | VicRoads is responsible for the general operation and maintenance of arterial roads in the City of Knox. The arterial roads in Knox are:
• Bayswater Road • Boronia Road • Brenock Park Drive • Burwood Highway • Dorset Road • Ferntree Gully Road • Forest Road (Boronia Road to Mountain Highway) • Glenfern Road (Brenock Park Drive to Napoleon Road) • High Street Road • Kelletts Road • Lysterfield Road • Mountain Highway • Napoleon Road (Kelletts Road to Lysterfield Road) • Scoresby Road • Stud Road • Wantirna Road • Wellington Road
General enquiries regarding the operation and traffic flows on all arterial roads should therefore be directed to VicRoads on 13 11 70.
VicRoads' maintenance responsibilities on the above listed roads include:
• Maintenance of centre medians • Traffic signal problems/repairs • Asphalt, line marking, drainage
Knox City Council maintenance responsibilities on the above listed roads are limited to the following:
• Service road maintenance • Footpath repairs • Maintenance of roadside trees (urban arterial roads only) • Roadside mowing (urban arterial roads only)

| Local and Non-Arterial Roads | | Knox City Council is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all non-arterial roads. These responsibilities include:
• Road surface repairs • Footpaths • Tree maintenance • Roadside mowing • Drainage • New, damaged and missing street signs
