| Knox's streetscapes and the trees within the streetscape are considered to be one of Council's greatest assets. The streetscape is seen to contribute to the leafy image of Knox that has been highlighted in a number of Council's strategic documents including the Corporate Plan and the Municipal Strategic Statement. The development of the Streetscape Policy has been undertaken to provide the strategic and the operational framework to both Council and the community with regard to the management, protection and care of the assets within the streetscape and in particular, the management of street trees.
Council is working at developing the major arterial roads through Knox with a Bush Boulevards, re inforcing the green image, increasing biodiversity, whilst linking the suburbs to the foothills.
