Knox Council is committed to working towards a sustainable future in partnership with the community.

All of us have a role to play in ensuring that we leave a healthy environment for future generations.

About 142,000 tonnes of rubbish is produced in Knox by residents and commercial operations each year.

It has been estimated the Knox community is responsible for emitting over 2.5 million tonnes of greenhouse gases each year.

Melbourne’s tap water is one of the cleanest and safest in the world.

Transport is essential for our society and vital to our economy and the maintenance of our standard of living.

Knox City Council aims to protect and enhance the values of all existing natural habitats in Knox for present and future generations.

Knox City Council is planning and developing the physical character of Knox so the environment and lifestyle it offers will continue to be enjoyed by existing and future communities.
