Community Safety in Knox – working together to feel safe and live safe:
You have a right to feel safe in Knox. It’s a great part of Melbourne to live, work and recreate. Communities which are perceived as safe encourages active participation such as physical activity, developing relationships with neighbours and supports the health and well-being of everyone. A safe community can only be achieved through the support of partnerships within local communities, with businesses, residents, community groups, schools, police, and Council who together identify local solutions to local issues.

Knox Safer Communities Group:
Council also supports the Knox Safer Communities Group – members are Council Officers and Police from Knox, Boronia and Rowville stations and the Crime Prevention Officer. The Group has been operating for approximately 10 years and focus on reducing the opportunity for crime, improving perceptions of safety, and reducing fear in local neighbourhoods.
