Housing Support

This service helps eligible Knox residents aged 55 years or older who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

The service may include support, advice, advocacy, referrals and assistance for public housing.

Who is eligible?

  • People aged 55 years and over
  • With moderate to low income, and receiving a Centrelink payment
  • Reliant on private rental (do not own a home) and at risk of homelessness
  • Currently living in Knox and have lived in Knox for at least two years, OR, past long-term Knox residents looking to return to Knox for family connection
  • Meet the assets/income eligibility of the Department of Health and Human Services Housing Service
  • Able to live independently
