Knox Sports and Leisure Awards

The annual Knox Sport and Leisure Awards recognise and reward the dedicated and hardworking volunteers within our local sport and leisure clubs. The Awards also recognise clubs that have worked diligently to provide positive programs and opportunities for the Knox community.

The Knox Sport and Leisure Awards aims to create a more sustainable sporting landscape through the retention of current volunteers and attracting of new volunteers.

Applications for the 2019 Knox Sport and Leisure Awards are now open. The awards ceremony will take place at the Knox Civic Centre on Wednesday 12 June 2019.
There are a number of awards that you can nominate a club or individual for, including:

Club Awards

  • Club of the Year
  • Best Club Initiated Program

Individual Awards

  • Club Person of the Year (Adult)
  • Club Person of the Year (Junior)
  • Women in Sport Leadership
  • Years of Service Recognition

In 2018 the Knox Sport and Leisure Awards honoured 90-year-old Keith Bolderston. Keith has been volunteering at Bayswater Football Club for 50 years and plans to keep on volunteering for as long as he can. Keith has been a committee member, goal umpire and is the current interchange steward for all three senior teams at the club. Its dedicated local sports volunteers like Keith that the Knox Sport and Leisure Awards seeks to recognise and thank.

Help recognise the unsung heroes of local Knox sport and Nominate a Sporting or Leisure Club Volunteer. Nominations close Sunday 3 March 2019.
