Tell us a bit about yourself?

I am a mother of three school-aged children and love being involved in my local community. I am an active person who sweats it out at the local bootcamp and swims at Knox Leisureworks. I have been married to my husband Geoff for 12 years and we are avid campers who enjoy long weekends away with the family.

How long have you lived in the area?

I moved to the heart of Wantirna 12 years ago and love living in Knox.

What is your professional background?

I studied a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Monash University) and have spent over 20 years in Business mainly in Marketing and Project Management. I have worked for companies such as Carlton and United Brewers, Coles Supermarkets, Home Timber and Hardware and the State Government. For the last 10 years I have run a Jims Mowing with my husband Geoff and supported several local businesses with their marketing and administrative needs.

What attracted you to the role of Councillor?

I have seen the difference that a really strong voice has made for the Community Groups that I have been associated with. I wanted to be able to combine my corporate skills with my love for community and represent the people of Knox.

What are you most looking forward to you in your term as Councillor?

I am most looking forward to working with Residents and Community Groups to help resolve their local issues and deliver good quality facilities and services.

What do you hope to achieve in your role as Councillor?

I want to be well known as someone who is available, accessible and approachable. Someone you can count on to take a phone call and help you resolve your issues. I am keen to deliver on a Dog Park for Wantirna as well as improved sporting facilities. I am also keen to see improvements in Council’s Waste Management programs.

What do you love about Knox?

I love the green leafy neighbourhood and accessibility to good quality open spaces, parklands and sporting facilities. I love the sincere community feel of the neighbourhoods and feeling safe in the streets that I live.
