Media Release - Call for witnesses to alleged dog incident near Ferntree Gully Cemetery

Knox City Council is hoping to hear from witnesses to an alleged dog incident on Clematis Avenue, near Ferntree Gully Cemetery, at around 5.20pm on Tuesday, 9 July.

Council understands that a dog, described as being of similar appearance to a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and black/dark grey in colour, was being walked out of the cemetery gate by two unknown females, aged in their mid to late 20’s with blonde hair, when it allegedly attacked a 4-month old Cavoodle, inflicting serious injuries.

Council’s Community Laws team is investigating this incident and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the alleged attack or could provide further information on (03) 9298 8000.
