War Memorial at Tim Neville Arboretum


Sunday 22 April

Commemorative march, 2pm.

The march will be from Chandler Rd, Boronia (corner of Dorset Road) to Boronia RSL, Dorset Road. It will have bagpipes and drums, as well as a wreath laying ceremony. Afternoon tea will be provided after the march.

Wednesday 25 April

Anzac Day Dawn Service, 6am.

The dawn service will be at the forecourt of the Boronia RSL, 198 Dorset Road. A hot breakfast will be provided after the service in the RSL Club.

Anzac Day Service, 10:30am from Lemon Grove, Bayswater.

Wednesday 25 April

Anzac Day Service, 5:40am at the Cenotaph, 626 Mountain Highway Bayswater. Breakfast will be provided.

Ferntree Gully

Wednesday 25 April

Walk to the Dawn Service, 5:30am.

Groups will assemble at St John the Baptist RC Parish car park, 17 Forest Road as well as Ferntree Gully Railway Station, on the Station Street side. Members of the public can follow guided walk to the site via Forest Road and are advised to bring a torch.

Dawn Service, 6am.

The dawn service will be held at Quarry Park, Quarry Road Ferntree Gully. Refreshments will include tea and coffee at St John the Baptist Parish Hall, Forest Road. Food can be brought by the public to share.

Anzac Ceremony, 10am.

The members of the Peace and Loyalty Masonic Lodge are conducting an Anzac ceremony at the Knox War Memorial, located at the Tim Neville Arboretum, 98-106 Dorset Road, Ferntree Gully. Floral tributes from members of the public are welcome.


Monday 16 April - Friday 27 April 2018

Anzac Art Display

A formal memorial service will not be held at Stud Park this year.
A new partnership has student Anzac Day artwork from Rowville Secondary Collage displayed at Stud Park Shopping Centre. The Anzac monument outside the Rowville library will be accessible.

Melbourne City

Wednesday 25 April

Dawn Service, 6am.

A minute silence will be conducted at the Shrine of Remembrance at Birdwood Avenue, Melbourne, Vic, 3001.

Anzac Day March, 9am.

The march will begin at the corner on Swanston and Flinders Street, down St. Kilda Road to the Shrine of Remembrance. The march will be led by veterans and their descendants as well as current serving personnel.

Commemorative Service, 1pm.

After the parade, a Commemorative Service will be conducted on the Shrine Forecourt including an Address from the Governor of Victoria.
