War Memorial at Tim Neville Arboretum


Thursday 25 April

Anzac Day Dawn Service, 5:45am for a 6am start

The Dawn Service will be at the forecourt of the Boronia RSL, 198 Dorset Road. A gunfire breakfast will be available in the RSL Club for the cost of a gold-coin donation.

The Boronia RSL will also have meals available from midday and entertainment later in the day.

Thursday 25 April

Anzac Day Dawn Service, 5:45am for a 5.50am start.

Service at the RSL Sub Branch, 626 Mountain Highway, Bayswater. Refreshments will be served after the service.

Ferntree Gully

Thursday 25 April

Quarry Park Dawn Service

At 5.30am, gather at St John the Baptist Catholic Church car park, 17 Forest Road and walk to Quarry Park, Quarry Rd, Ferntree Gully for the dawn service at 6am. Bring torches and if you wish, something to sit on during the service.

Following the service, refreshments will be served in the church hall in Forest Rd, courtesy of St Vincent De Paul Conference. Members of the public can also bring food to share.

Knox War Memorial

The members of the Peace and Loyalty Masonic Lodge are conducting an Anzac Day Remembrance Service at 10am at the Knox War Memorial, located at the Tim Neville Arboretum, 98-106 Dorset Road, Ferntree Gully.

Members of the public are invited to attend and floral tributes may be laid.


Monday 15 April - Friday 26 April 2019

Anzac Art Display

An art display 'Reflections of War', by students from Rowville Secondary College is on display until April 26 in the Centre Court at the Geo-Dome in the Stud Park Shopping Centre.

Children can also enjoy the Anzac Day colouring activity in the Geo-Dome, with colouring sheets proudly illustrated by the students from Rowville Secondary College.

The flag at the Anzac monument outside the Rowville Library will be at half-mast from 6.50am until noon. At noon the flag will be raised and members of the public are welcome to places wreaths at the base of the monument, although no formal memorial service will be held.

Melbourne City

Thursday 25 April

Dawn Service, 6am.

A minute silence will be conducted at the Shrine of Remembrance at Birdwood Avenue, Melbourne, Vic, 3001.

Anzac Day March, 9am.

The march will begin at the corner on Swanston and Flinders Street, down St. Kilda Road to the Shrine of Remembrance. The march will be led by veterans and their descendants as well as current serving personnel.

Commemorative Service, 1pm.

After the parade, a Commemorative Service will be conducted on the Shrine Forecourt including an Address from the Governor of Victoria.
