Early Years Advisory Committee


Council wants to help achieve a happy, healthy and resilient Knox community. We are seeking active participation, engagement and contribution from people of all ages to join our Early Years Advisory Committee (EYAC).

Through EYAC you can help with the implementation and review of the Key Life Stages Plan and advise on issues through identification of emerging key research, policies and legislation.

Calling for Expressions of Interest

  • Community members with an understanding of the issues impacting families and young children.
  • Professional/industry representatives with specialist knowledge and experience of the early years’ service system in the Knox community.

The purpose of the Early Years Advisory Committee (the Committee) is to provide advice to Council on the emerging issues affecting families and young children within the City of Knox.


The objectives of the Committee are to:

  • Provide advice and recommendations to Council on the implementation of the Key Objectives of the Knox Community & Council Plan 2017-2020,
  • Provide advice to Council on emerging issues affecting families and children and the related services within the Knox community,
  • Identify emerging key research, policy and legislative issues that might impact the implementation of the Knox Key Life Stages Plan 2017-2020.
