Do you live in the municipality of Knox and have an understanding and interest in the issues impacting families and young children? An exciting opportunity has opened up for two new community members to join Knox Council’s progressive and inclusive Early Years Advisory Committee.

By offering your active engagement, ideas and knowledge you can contribute to Council’s future direction through the implementation of Council’s Key Life Stages Plan.

Be valued and supported for your experience and contribution and build relationships with committee members and Council Officers. This is an opportunity to not only offer your experience but to gain skills, be briefed on emerging key research, policy and legislation of the early years sector.

Purpose

The purpose of the Early Years Advisory Committee (the Committee) is to provide advice to Council on the emerging issues affecting families and young children within the City of Knox.

Objectives

The objectives of the Committee are to:

  • Provide advice and recommendations to Council on the implementation of the Key Objectives of the Knox Community & Council Plan 2017-2020,
  • Provide advice to Council on emerging issues affecting families and children and the related services within the Knox community,
  • Identify emerging key research, policy and legislative issues that might impact the implementation of the Knox Key Life Stages Plan 2017-2020.
