GreenLeaf Program

GreenLeaf environmental program

The Greenleaf Program is Council’s overarching sustainability engagement program that aims to engage residents, community groups, Early Years services, schools, businesses and Council staff to implement sustainable practices across the municipality by providing simple, practical and affordable solutions to environmental sustainability issues in a way that suits individuals. The Greenleaf program consists of four ‘elements’ (Living, Learning, Leading, and Business) that focus on different sectors of the Knox community.

The Program is currently focussing on the following initiatives:

  • Seedlings Early Years Education for Sustainability Pilot
  • Community Waste Education & Engagement Program
  • ASPIRE - a manufacturing 'industrial ecology' project with partner Councils to help manufacturing businesses identify opportunities to reuse waste products
