About the grants

We offer one-off grants to leisure and sporting organisations in Knox to help upgrade their facilities.

Funding can be used for improvements to equipment, grounds or buildings leased from Council.

Grants of up to $10,000 (excluding GST) are available. Council can fund up to 50% of the total project cost.

These upgrades support local organisations, their members and the wider Knox community.

The following conditions apply:

Funding must be for assets your group uses under a lease, licence or agreement with Council.
Only one application can be submitted per organisation.
Funded projects must be completed between 15 August and 31 May each year.

To be eligible, your organisation must be either:

a not-for-profit community group with a management committee (or similar) and its own legal identity
part of a larger state or national not-for-profit organisation.

Your organisation must also have a lease, licence, or annual or seasonal licence agreement for the asset being improved.

Applications are open from 1 February to 15 March each year.
