Music and Mindfulness for Young People

Music and Mindfulness group

Do you love music? Would you like to learn to use music to cope with difficult thoughts and feelings?

Music & Mindfulness is a safe, supportive group for young people 12-15 years of age who live, work, study or are connected to Knox and experience anxiety and/or depression.

The group will be facilitated by Lisa, Youth Counsellor/Social Worker, Knox Youth Services, and Asami, Music Therapist - Collective Music Therapy.

To participate you don’t need any musical or performance skills just contact Lisa for a chat.

So what happens at the group?

Each week we will listen to music and learn new mindfulness skills like drawing, visualising/relaxation and journaling/song-writing.

Just come and listen to music with us, chat and have fun!

Time: 4:15pm - 6:15pm
