Oppy Bike Ride 2017

The Oppy Bike Ride

Two men on a tandem bike at The Oppy Bike Ride

We hear kids are better riders than parents ... or is that the other way around? The annual Oppy Bike Ride is on again.

There are three routes to choose from, and fun things to do along the bike paths – you might be asked to name all capital cities of Australia whilst doing star jumps, or perhaps know who the bike ride is named after and why*... Whatever the task, you can do it! And if you do, you get a stamp – win!

There is a new bike to be won for those who register before hand; we’ll send you out a bike ride passport ready to collect your stamps. Hand it in at the bike valet at the festival to go in that draw.

Online registrations have closed, but you can register on the day at Knox Festival.

* Knox is home to many great people (yes – you included), and one of those people was Sir Hubert Opperman. He’s expert cycling skills, acquired on rides through the hills and roads of Knox, saw him bring home awards galore from the Olympic Games, Tour De France and other cycling championships. This is why we have a number of statues of ‘Oppy’ on the bike paths, so high-five them as you go past, and show Oppy what the new generation can do.
