The following provides information on the relevant Code of Practice and the procedure involved to install a septic tank. Where sewer is not available for disposal of waste and wastewater, a septic tank must be installed in accordance with the Environment Protection Act 1970 and the Septic Tanks Code of Practice. Approval must be granted by Council's Health Services prior to installation.
