Knox City Council is pleased to re-launch the Responsible Pet Ownership Competition for Knox residents.
Council's Responsible Pet Ownership Competition is back for 2016. The competition is looking to reward responsible pet owners that reside in Knox for doing the right thing by their pet. If you know someone who you feel deserves to win for being a responsible pet owner, nominate them now. Fill in our online nomination form below. The competition which will be run quarterly throughout the year will see responsible owners awarded with prizes sponsored by local businesses in Knox.
Neighbours and friends can nominate responsible pet owners living in Knox for a chance to win one of the prizes on offer. Local Laws Officers will also be on the look out to nominate responsible owners during their day to day activities, for example when on parks patrols checking ‘on lead’ areas. You can nominate a responsible pet owner online through the online form which can be found at the bottom of this page
In choosing a winner for the competition in relation to dogs, officers may take into consideration any obedience training undertaken, if its de-sexed, the dogs behaviour as well as any previous interaction with council.
In choosing a winner in relation to a cat, officers would consider if the cat has access to a suitable enclosure and again would look at previous interactions with council.
