Council held its annual Knox Pets In The Park, formerly known as the Eastern Regional Pet Expo, on Sunday 6 April 2014 at Gilbert Park Reserve on Ferntree Gully Road, Knoxfield. This event was the biggest and best one yet with over 6000 people attending.

The aim of this event was to promote businesses, organisations and clubs at the one event, incorporating all types of animals as pets, with the theme being "Responsible Pet Ownership".

There were local vets, dog trainers, breeders, animal welfare groups, groomers and lots more for visitors to interact and talk to. With such a wealth of knowledge and information available to all, visitors could find out which pet best suits their lifestyle, and what is needed to keep them a happy and contented pet.
