Parent Information Session: Thriving and Surviving VCE

Thursday 1 June, 2017 from 7 - 9pm at Knox City Council Civic Centre Room 3, 511 Burwood Hwy, Wantirna South

Julia Russell, Parent Educator & Group Facilitator, Parentzone Eastern will be presenting and providing strategies;

* To assist parents to stay connected through the often difficult time of VCE, balancing study and life.
* To offer support to their teens to help them problem solve and resolve conflict.
* To develop tools to support parents and the family.

KYS Resource Poster

The 2012 Knox Youth Services Resource Poster is designed for schools, agencies, general practitioners and workers that provide support and guidance to young people between the ages of 10 – 25 years in Knox.

The Knox Youth Information Centre (YIC) and other agencies, predominantly in the local area, are included on the Knox Youth Services Resource Poster.

Material Aid and Food Parcels

Knox City Council is the broker of emergency relief funding and funds four agencies within Knox to deliver food parcels and vouchers to families and/or individuals in financial crisis.

Council itself provides funding to Eastern Access Community Health (EACH) for the provision of financial counselling services and Knox Community Health Service (KCHS) for the provision of generalist counselling services. The Youth Information Centre also provides counselling for 12 - 24 years, advice referral, support and programs for young people who are living, working, recreating or studying in the City of Knox.
