Green Foot Flicks - Knox Youth Short Film Festial 2019

Applications are open!

Green Foot Flicks is back for 2019 and is calling for films from young people aged 10-25 years who live, work, study or have a connection to City of Knox. Films can be made in any style or genre, need to be no longer than 10 minutes and be rated G or PG. A selection of films will be screened at Knox Village Cinema during National Youth Week 2019.

Youth Advisory Committee looking for new recruits!

Applications are NOW OPEN for the 2019 Youth Advisory Committee, and will close on Friday 9 November.

Knox City Council is seeking applications for the following positions:
• Young people 12 – 18 years
• Young people 18 – 25 years
• Community representatives (of any age) who are enthusiastic about young people and youth issues

Applications will be assessed by a panel consisting of a Councillor representative, a Council officer and, where possible, two young people. Applicants will be assessed based on their interest, knowledge and expertise relating to youth and community issues.

Recruiting NOW for new members for Knox Events Crew 2018/19

Are you a young person (10- 25) who enjoys film and media and would like to learn what goes on behind the scenes in staging events and festivals?

Knox City Council Youth Services are recruiting young people for the Knox Youth Events Crew 2018/19. The group will commence in Term 4 and run through to April, 2019.

Eastern Regional Libraries

Do you love reading?
Do you want to talk books with other young people?
Do you want special access to new popular books?
Are you aged between 12-16 years?

If you answered yes, to any of these questions, then come along and hang out with like-minded book worms and discuss books!!

No library card? No worries!!! You can sign up for a library card at your first session.

In partnership with Eastern Regional Libraries, the Knox Young Readers will meet monthly on the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 4 - 5.30pm at the Knox Library (in the meeting room) – snacks will be provided!

Bookclub Details

  • Date Tuesdays - 21 August, 18 September, 16 October, 20 November & 18 December
  • Time 4pm to 5:30pm
  • Address Knox Library, Westfield Knox Shopping Centre, 425 Burwood Highway, Wantirna South.
