Upcoming Knox Parent Information Workshop

Supporting Girls on the Spectrum

This informative workshop is for parents, carers, and guardians of girls in grades 5 & 6 at primary school and years 7 to 9 at secondary school who are on the Autism Spectrum.

Charlinda Parsons, Occupational Therapist, Spectrum Journey has over 20 years' experience supporting girls on the Autism Spectrum; in early intervention, private practice, in schools and community health services. Charlinda will explore practical strategies, ideas and encourage to support girls on the Autism Spectrum.

Topics include: Hygiene and self-care, Puberty, Executive Function and Supporting girls with sensory strategies to assist with anxiety.

Supporting our LGBTIQ and non-binary children*

Summer enews youth

Join our information session on supporting our *lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and gender diverse, intersex, queer and non binary children and young people, presented by Queerspace.

This session will discuss the struggles that some parents and families face in responding to, and supporting their child, while also exploring some of the essential information and skills needed for parents, carers and family members of LGBTIQ+ young people.

Knox Youth Services Resource Guide (2019) - Poster and Booklet

The Knox Youth Services Resource Guide is a resource designed for schools, agencies, general practitioners and workers that provide support and guidance to young people between the ages of 10 – 25 years in Knox.

This new guide has been developed and produced in a Poster (A2) format and a Booklet format. If you would like a copy of the Resource Guide in Poster format or booklet format, contact Megan Parker, Youth Administrative Officer on 9298 8000 or email megan.parker@knox.vic.gov.au to arrange pick up or delivery.
