Film Making Workshop

Engage Workshops - September/October School Holidays 2017

  • Freaky Photography Skills Workshop - Tuesday 26 September - Learn how to use camera features to take eerie, ghostly & weird photographs at one of Knox's spookiest places!
  • Skate & BMX Film Making Workshop- Wednesday 27 September - Turn your film making ideas into reality. Learn about camera angles, safety and lots of tricks and tips!
  • Halloween Manga Drawing Workshop - Wednesday 4 October - Explore the darker characters a this Manga drawing workshop that will have your characters screaming from the page!
  • Film Making & Special Effects Make Up Workshop - Thursday 5 and Friday 6 October - must attend both days. Over 2 days you will learn special effects, make-up to turn yourself into a creepy character & make your own film at one of Knox's spookiest places!

Youth Action Group; The Project

The Project is recruiting new members now!

Calling all passionate young people from Knox aged between 14 - 18 years. If you love living in a community with people from all walks of life and have ideas how to make it even better, then we want to hear from you!

Join people like yourself who want to make a difference!

Interested in becoming involved visit The Project for all the dates, times and venue!

The Project is part of the Knox City Council Youth Services Engage Program and is supported by the Victorian Government.

Film Club for Young People

Knox Youth Services and Play Animation are offering young people the opportunity to be part of a Film Club. Film Club gives Young people 10-16 years a chance to explore film making and develop their skills over the course of a number of weeks alongside other young people who are interested in film.

Are you aged between 10-16 years?
Do you live, work, study or have a connection to the City of Knox?
Are you passionate about film making?
Would you like to meet other young film makers in a fun supportive environment?
Can you come along each Thursday for 6 weeks beginning Thursday 24 August, 2017?

Music and Mindfulness for Young People

Do you love music? Would you like to learn to use music to cope with difficult thoughts/feelings?

Music & Mindfulness is a safe, supportive group for young people 12-15 years of age who live, work, study or are connected to Knox and experience anxiety and/or depression.
No musical skills or performing required.
Just come listen to music with us and try some new stuff like mindful drawing, relaxation, or journaling/song-writing.

The group begins Tuesday 17 October 2017.
