Boronia Renewal Strategy (proposed Amendment C178knox)

  • Awaiting authorisation from the Minister for Planning to prepare and exhibit the amendment.

Knox City Council has requested authorisation from the Minister for Planning to prepare and exhibit the proposed amendment C178knox to the Knox Planning Scheme, following Council’s adoption of the draft Boronia Renewal Strategy at the Council meeting on 26 August 2019.

The request for authorisation was made in November 2019. It is anticipated that the draft Boronia Renewal Strategy will be reviewed and revised in response to any comments and conditions received as part of the Ministerial authorisation process. Subject to receiving ministerial authorisation, the amendment and the strategy will be placed on public exhibition.

What is Amendment C178knox?

The proposed amendment C178knox seeks to implement the objectives and strategies of the draft Boronia Renewal Strategy 2019 into the Knox Planning Scheme through the application of local planning policies, zones and overlays.

The draft amendment documents considered by Council at the 26 August 2019 Council Meetings can be viewed through the link below:
