Latest Streetscape Projects

Upper Ferntree Gully Shopping Centre

The streetscape work commenced early February between 1250 Burwood Highway & Dawson Street.

Stage 1 including drainage works is almost complete.

Streetscape work including upgrades to pedestrian footpaths, car parking areas and landscaping to start once Stage 1 complete. Works are expected to be completed end May.

Studfield Shopping Centre

Works are due to commence early March. Drainage works for the centre will be conducted over three stages to minimise disruption to public access and trading at the local businesses.

  • Stage 1 - Somerset Street end of Studfield Shopping Centre
  • Stage 2 - Mid-section of Studfield Shopping Centre
  • Stage 3 - Coleman Road end of Studfield Shopping Centre

Temporary car parking bays will be marked during the night and all businesses will remain open throughout the streetscaping works. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the duration of the project.

Signage will be used to advise customers of any temporary vehicular access changes.

Works include:

  • Renewal of existing drainage infrastructure
  • Replacement and widening of footpath with sections of feature paving
  • Renewal of street furniture and bike racks in several locations
  • Additional garden beds
