Seniors Centres, Clubs & Learning Centres

In Knox, there are a number of opportunities for older people to participate in their communities. A variety of activities, places of interest and things to do are available in the Knox area.

Senior Citizens' Centres

There are 13 Senior Citizens' Clubs in Knox. Activities available include cards, bingo, outings, billiards, indoor carpet bowls, dance, crafts and concerts. All have a weekly club day.

Community Learning Centres

These are locally run houses which provide a range of activities for all ages. Very warm, friendly and informal environment. Give them a ring to see what activities are being offered.

Bright Ideas Network

The Knox Bright Ideas Network is a collaboration between Knox City Council, residents, community groups and local businesses. We are the voice of Over 55s in Knox. We work on events, projects and issues that are important. Our program has been modified to support COVID-19 restrictions.

Knox Over 55s Zest4Life events, activities and workshops

The Knox Over 55s Zest4Life program aims to support people to remain active and socially connected within the Knox municipality by offering a mix of activities, training and events. The program has been modified to support COVID-19 restrictions.

You don't have to be Over 55 to enjoy what's on offer, but we do ask that anyone under 18 be accompanied with a parent or guardian.
