Accessible Communities

Surrounded by high quality community sport and recreation facilities, physical activity is a fundamental way of life for many of Knox’s residents regardless of age, race, gender or ability. In recent times, participation rates among female and junior participants are increasing rapidly and Council’s investment into community facilities also continues to grow.

All community facility developments consider the needs of all users and in response to that, many sporting clubs within Knox are developing inclusive new programs to accommodate people of all abilities.

Access for All Abilities
Reclink Australia is funded by the Access for All Abilities program to act as the first point of call for people with disabilities looking for sporting opportunities, through the provision of Access for All Abilities Play.
