Council Meeting - 21 December 2020

Council meetings and Coronavirus (COVID-19) information

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has confirmed members of the public can attend council meetings as long as meetings are conducted in a COVID safe way.

Attendees will be required to observe any restrictions that may be in place, which include wearing a facemask indoors, and following appropriate protocols for hand hygiene, physical distancing and record keeping.

Please note that attendance numbers will be limited, to enable Council to comply with density rules (1 person per 4 square metres).

Emergency management advice provide by Local Government Victoria acknowledges that meeting indoors does present an increased risk of transmission and so we encourage the community to consider accessing the live stream via Council’s website as an alternative to attending in person.

Public Question Time

Public Questions need to be submitted in accordance with Council’s Governance Rules, which require questions to be submitted:
a) electronically (using the link below) prior to 12:00pm on the day of the Council meeting; or
b) in hardcopy prior to 7:15pm on the day of the meeting, using the form provided at the Civic Centre.

We encourage people to use the electronic form however, in light of the increased transmission risk associated with handling paper questions.

If present in the Public Gallery, the Chairperson may offer the questioner the opportunity to make a brief introductory statement. The time allowed will be up to two (2) minutes.
