2. Mountain Gate Cruiseway.
3. Transport and Facilities Hub.
4. Carpark.
5. Mountain Gate Parkland.

Works undertaken in 2015

In 2015, Council allocated $1.4 million to upgrade the Cruiseway and create a Town Square (components 1 and 2). The upgrade included:

  • A new footpath designed for functional safety;
  • New garden beds with more shade trees;
  • A new Town Square to make meeting friends easier;
  • New street furniture to make shopping easier and more convenient; and
  • A new play area to entertain the children with the theme of growing produce, transporting it to the shops and selling it.

The works also included a new toilet block with an upgraded pedestrian crossing to it. In addition a new locally inspired art mural transformed the wall of The Euro Bakehouse Cafe. This was part of the Wall to Wall Mentoring Program which included six year 10 students from Fairhills High School working with Andrew Bourke, a renowned international artist. The mural was developed with input from the Mountain Gate Business Association as well.
