Knox Immerse

Knox City Council's Immerse program is a biennial art exhibition program, open to Melbourne based artists across all art disciplines and mediums.

Immerse 2021

Immerse defies the traditional confines of an art gallery, and brings unique arts experiences into unusual places around Knox.

Immerse 2021 will run from 11 – 26 September. Submissions for this year's program are now closed.

Over thirty artists are currently busy designing, making and creating their work, which is set to transform Knox across three hubs during September. Immerse artists are remunerated for new work that is not for sale, and go into the running for a range of cash prizes including best site response, best exhibition and acquisition awards

The program will offer a mix of live and virtual exhibitions, arts experiences and performances at three key neighbourhood precincts including:

  • Wantirna South
  • Rowville
  • The Basin

Stand-alone feature installations and exhibitions will also be staged at satellite locations around Knox.

All events will be delivered safely within Victorian COVID restrictions, with an adaptive virtual and/or public program.

Please follow Knox Immerse on Instagram or Knox Arts and Events on Facebook for Immerse 2021 program announcements.
