Wattle Day tree planting

Celebrate the arrival of spring with Friends of Blind Creek Wattle Day tree planting.

Spring is a beautiful and busy time of year for biodiversity, in particular the blooming of native wattle.

Join Friends of Blind Creek Billabong to celebrate National Wattle Day by planting 2,500 indigenous plants and trees along the Blind Creek Trail.

Learn from the passionate and experienced group volunteers, who have helped to care for and maintain Blind Creek Billabong Reserve for over 21 years.

What to bring:

  • Gardening gloves
  • Hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Enclosed shoes
  • Water bottle

A sausage sizzle lunch will be provided. 

Remember to download the iNaturalist app to help record any interesting animals or plants you see on the day.
