Ferntree Gully Tennis Club
Come and try a range of tennis activities on offer at Ferntree Gully (FTG) Tennis Club with no previous experience required! Sessions include:
- Cardio Tennis - a light workout mixed in with tennis activities to your favourite songs
- Social Tennis - perfect for those trying tennis for the first time. This is a relaxed way to keep moving and enjoy a hit with friends.
- POP Tennis - played on smaller courts with shorter paddles and lower compression balls, a twist on paddle tennis dating back to 1898
- Pickleball - a combination of tennis, badminton and table tennis, creating a unique sport that can be learnt in minutes
- All abilities tennis - this award winning program is a fun, active and inclusive way for participants with a disability to play tennis.
Seniors Exercise Park
Our Seniors Exercise Park is an outdoor exercise equipment park designed to help improve balance, strength, functional movement, joint range of motion and mobility. Come and try this fun park with support of trained Senior Champions and enjoy having a laugh in a group!
Knox Tri Club
Come and meet the Knox Tri Club. While triathlons involve swimming, cycling and running, these sessions will provide ages 18+ with an introduction to running - beginners welcomed! Session on March 9 will be followed by a BBQ.
Knox Athletics Club
An opportunity for those ages 5+ (little athletics 5+ and senior athletics 12+), to try a variety of track and field events, without the pressure of joining a club.
Melbourne Disc Golf Club
Disc Golf involves throwing the disc (like a frisbee) towards a metal basket. At this come-and-try session, you will be shown how to hold, throw and 'putt' before trying out the Disc Golf Course!
Boronia & Bayswater Bowls
- Boronia Bowls - ever wanted to try your hand at Lawn Bowls? This is your chance! Come down for a come-and-try session at Boronia Bowls, open to all ages and abilities
- Bayswater Bowls - open to adults 18+, these sessions will be barefoot bowls - either come and try the game as a beginner or challenge your friends.
Guided Cultural Walk
Join Chris Hume, a Yorta Yorta/Bunurong man and local Aboriginal leader, for two guided walks through Wally Tew Reserve. Chris will share Aboriginal knowledge, perspectives and uses of native plants. The walk will end near the Knox Environmental Society nursery where you're welcome to browse plants for your own garden.
