Protecting your rights as you get older (online)

Join our free webinar to find out more about how to keep yourself and others safe and respected as you get older.

We all deserve to feel safe and respected as we get older. Sometimes it can be tricky to navigate our options. We may feel less confident as we age or find it difficult to have conversations with our loved ones. This free online session will help you understand more about:

  • protecting the rights of people as they get older
  • the problems of ageism
  • the signs and risks of elder abuse
  • how to prevent elder abuse
  • what to do if your rights, or the rights of someone else, are not being respected.

It will be facilitated by Seniors Rights Victoria and the Eastern Community Legal Centre.  There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the session.

This workshop is a '16 Days of Activism' activity and a partnership between Knox City Council, Eastern Community Legal Centre, Senior Rights Victoria and Maroondah City Council.
