As part of Mental Health Month 2022, we are offering free weekly tai chi sessions at the Ferntree Gully Library.

Tai chi is a gentle form of exercise that focuses on movement and breath to help improve your body and mental health.

Tai chi:

  • builds flexibility and balance
  • is low impact
  • is less strenuous than other exercise classes
  • is a calm alternative to gyms and other group fitness sessions
  • can be done standing up!

Classes are for adults of all ages and stages who would like incorporate movement into their day to help their mental wellbeing.

These sessions are provided in partnership with Eastern Regional Libraries as part of Knox City Council’s Move Your Way program, and are facilitated by Eastern Kung Fu.

Tai chi classes are free to attend however registration is required.

Please wear loose clothing and flat shoes.
