- Assistance for energy bills
From 1 July 2022, the Victorian Government is offering a $250 payment to all Victorian households who use the Victorian Energy Compare website and seek a better price.
The Victorian Government will invest $250 million in this Power Saving Bonus initiative, to help drive down the cost of living.
The Victorian Energy Compare website is a free and independent energy comparison service, run by the Victorian Government.
The website uses information about your household and energy bills to recommend the best energy offers available to you.
Visit the Victorian Energy Compare website to apply for the $250 payment. Applications close 30 June 2023.
Australian Energy Foundation
Knox residents can receive free energy saving advice from the Australian Energy Foundation (AEF). Their energy advisors can provide guidance and tips on effective ways to lower your energy costs and carbon footprint.

This initiative is supported by our Climate Response Plan 2021-2031, which aims to reduce greenhouse emissions in our community to net zero by 2040.
