There will be some changes to our opening hours during the Christmas and New Year holiday period.
Customer service
Our customer service centres will operate as per the following days and times:

Calls to 9298 8000 outside of our operating hours will be automatically transferred to our out of hours service.
Online services
The following services will not be available from Saturday 24 December to Tuesday 27 December 2022 and Monday 3 January 2023:
- report a missed bin collection
- report a damaged bin
- report a stolen or missing bin
During the holiday period, you can still access many of our services online, including:

Your household bins will be collected as normal over the holiday period, including on public holidays.
There will also be no change to your fortnightly bundled green waste collection service.

Hard rubbish collection
No hard rubbish will be collected in the week between Christmas and New Year due to public holidays.
The last collection day for this year will be Friday 23 December 2022.
The first hard rubbish collection day for 2023 will be Tuesday 3 January.
Hard rubbish collection bookings
You can still book a hard rubbish collection online during the 2022 Christmas and New Year period.
The Knox Transfer Station and Recycling Facility is open every day except Christmas Day (Sunday 25 December 2022).

The following centres are closed from Sunday 18 December and will reopen Monday 9 January 2023:

Knox Leisureworks and Waterford Valley Golf Course will be operating reduced hours. Please refer to their websites for further information.
Knox Skate and BMX Park remains open over the holiday period.
Knox Athletics Track is closed on public holidays only.
Our maternal child health services are operating a reduced service over the holiday period. Council will prioritise appointments for younger babies over this time.

If you need immediate support, information or advice from a qualified maternal and child health nurse, you can contact the 24-hour Maternal and Child Health hotline on 13 22 29. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
