Don’t mind the works on Scoresby Road

Works to improve the shared pedestrian and bike path on Scoresby Road in Ferntree Gully will start Monday 5 June 2023.

A 250m section of path located between Burwood Highway and Yarana Street will be upgraded.  Works are being done to help fix cracked and damaged concrete and kerb, making it much safer for public use.

Works will last approximately 5 – 7 days depending on weather conditions.

Disruption will be kept to a minimum but temporary access in and around the area will be as follows:

  • Works will take place 9:30 am - 3 pm daily
  • Traffic travelling southbound on Scoresby Road will be reduced to one lane
  • Temporary traffic management controls will be in place
  • Pedestrian access will be diverted from Burwood Highway, via Carlisle Road and back on to Scoresby Road
  • There also may be some disruption to the 755 and 753 bus routes particularly at the bus stops located at Burwood Highway/Scoresby Road (12547) and Hugh Street/Scoresby Road (13963)

It is recommended that additional travel time should be prepared for during the works period.
