- To end family violence, we must all play a part
On Wednesday 3 August, from 6:30pm – 9:00pm, we will be hosting a free webinar presented by specialist family violence service, EDVOS.
The webinar will be for those aged 18+ and will cover the three 'R's' (recognise, respond and refer), in a bid to help build the knowledge and confidence of individuals and organisations to help people experiencing family violence.
Throughout the session, you will learn how to:
- Recognise the signs of family violence
- Respond appropriately to disclosures of family violence
- Refer safely to specialist family violence services
Participants will also learn about the gendered nature of family violence and how to challenge community attitudes that reinforce gender inequality.
For any questions or concerns, please contact Felicity Smith, Community Development Officer, on Felicity.Smith@knox.vic.gov.au.
